Centralbiblioteket i Manchester

The iconic Central Library is being beautifully and sensitively restored from the ground and will re-open in 2014. In the meantime, the City Library on Deansgate takes its place. In contradiction to the old Central Library, the City Library is bright, airy and very colourful. It is an oasis of tranquility in the bustling city centre.

The library is equipped with Classic Steel Shelving System and specially made key pieces of furniture, designed to highlight the current quick pick furniture. The library share the same basic concept as Longsight, Beswick and Brookland, but the unique colour themes and a couple of characteristics details give the library its own identity.
